Der Bundesrat hat heute einem neuen Paragraphen im Strafgesetzbuch (§202c des StGB) zugestimmt, nachdem das “Verschaffen, Überlassen und Verbreiten” von Werkzeugen zum Ausspähen und Abfangen von Daten unter Strafe steht.
Das heißt sämtliche Tools, mit denen ich die Sicherheit meiner eigenen Rechner prüfen und überwachen kann (nmap, tcpdump, snoop, etc.), mit denen ich eine Fehleranalyse durchführen (strace, truss, etc.) sind dann strafbar. Sie Dürften in Deutschland wahrscheinlich nicht einmal mehr Bestandteil der jeweiligen Betriebssysteme sein (bei Linux und Solaris gehören sie seit Jahren zur Grundinstallation).

Klingt für mich nach absolutem Schwachsinn. Da aber leider die Lobby der Informatiker und Datenschützer bei weitem nicht mit einem so großen Budget wie die Lobby der Musik- und Software-Industrie ausgestattet ist konnte niemand die Deppen im Bundestag und Bundesrat über ihren Unfug aufklären.

Ich kündige schon hier und jetzt an mich diesem Gesetz zu widersetzen und diese Tools weiterhin zu benutzen um die Sicherheit meiner Computersysteme zu testen und Fehleranalysen durchzuführen. Wenn man mich dafür ins Gefängnis stecken möchte, so sei es.

Ihr Artikel zur Kritik von Franziska Augstein belegt doch genau das, was
sie kritisiert. Sie argumentieren einzig und allein mit dem
wirtschaftlichen Erfolg des Spiegels und behaupten auch noch, daß das
Ansehen des Spiegel auf Ihre Arbeit zurück geht.
Doch das Ansehen des Spiegel wurde schon viel früher gelegt, als Rudolf
Augstein für seine Unnachgiebigkeit als Journalist im Gefängnis saß. Sie
profitieren heute nur noch davon. Die Qualität des Spiegel hat den in
den letzten Jahren rapide abgenommen und die Inhalte sind beliebig
geworden. Man genauso gut Focus, Brigitte oder Bild-Zeitung lesen. Sie
schreiben nur noch gegenseitig voneinander ab und bedienen die
Sensationslust der Massen statt den Informationsbedarf der
Interessierten. Sie haben es sich an der angeblichen Spitze bequem
gemacht und scheuen jedes Risiko. Sie versuchen es ihren Anteilseignern
recht zu machen statt unbequem und ehrlich zu sein.

Ich kann Franziska Augsteins Kritik sehr gut verstehen.

Muß denn daß sein? Es kann doch nicht so schwer sein, nach dem Gehweg auch noch einmal kurz über den Radweg zu fahren…

I recently bought a Sony DSC-P93 digital still image camera. This is a replacement for my former Canon IXUS 400. So regarding to this you won. But I have to say that I’m not fully satisfied with your product. I mean you product is slightly more expensive than the IXUS so I would consider that I got some extra value for my money. But I miss one important feature in the DSC series. The all seem to lack the position sensor. When I take a picture in portrait position I have to rotate it afterwards in the computer to view it right. The IXUS recognize the bearing and safes this information within the image file.
I think this is just a small but very usefull part. So please consider to integrate it into you products as well.

I like your Macintosh computers a lot. I’m a so called switcher from Windows/Linux systems. But there is one thing I really miss and couldn’t understand:
Why didn’t you print all the special characters on the keyboard? It seems a big revolution to find at least the @-sign on the newer keyboards. But what about all the other fine signs and symbols like a pipe (|), a tilde (~), all the brackets and braces ([]{}) and the like. I need all these sign regularly because I’m using some of the BSD-Features of Mac OS X and I’m a programmer.

So please Mr. Jobs take some cent and print all the major special signs on the keyboards as PC-Users have them since decades.
